Mr. Arnold John

Diagnosed with Haemophilia at just nine (9) months old, Mr. John faced a life-altering challenge at the age of seven (7) when he developed meningitis and resulting in partial deformity from the waist. Traversing life with living with an inherited blood disorder and a disability has been a challenge, but Mr. John continues persevere.

Arnold John is a dedicated advocate and long-standing member of the Society for Inherited and Severe Blood Disorders Trinidad and Tobago (SISBDTT), proudly representing the rural community of Marac Village, Moruga. He has been actively involved with the organization for over fifteen (15) years and currently serves as Vice President – Haemophilia, a role he has held since January 2024. Additionally, Mr. John presently serves as the President of the Marac Community Council for the past nine (9) years and a Director at the Reb Credit Union Cooperative Society Limited since 2023.

Despite his adversity, Mr. John continues to an advocate for persons living with inherited blood disorders and persons willing with disabilities in Trinidad and Tobago. Mr. John’s mantra is that one will only know the extent of how we are not an inclusive society, until you one has a disability. The driving force behind Mr. John’s advocacy is doing the little he can do, to make Trinidad and Tobago a better place for persons living with disabilities and inherited blood disorders.

Academically, Mr. John possess MSc. Strategic Leadership and Management, BSc. Leadership and Management, LLB and an Associate Degree Human Resource Management. Prior to pursing his tertiary studies Mr. John attend the National Centre for Persons with Disabilities (NCPD).
