Carlyle Fletcher CLU is a Chartered Life Underwriter who joined the insurance industry on 01st December 1981, after a 10-year career in Accounting and Auditing. He has qualified for all major Company and Industry Awards.

He served as a Branch Manager with Guardian Life in Trinidad and Tobago for 24 years, Algico for four years and Tatil Life for two years. His specialty areas are Agent Training and Managers Development. He has trained hundreds of successful agents in his career, many of whom have blossomed into successful Managers. He is a Life Member of the Prestigious Million Dollar Round Table and has been inducted into his company’s Convention Hall of Fame and TTAIFA’s South Chapter’s Hall of Fame.

He was the 2010 winner of CARAIFA’S speakers Forum and has spoken to standing ovations at CARAIFA’s congresses throughout the Caribbean. He was also an outstanding main platform speaker and workshop presenter at the CARAIFA Sales Congress in Trinidad and Tobago in April 2015. He was a feature speaker and workshop presenter at the Sagicor’s Motivational Seminar in Montego Bay Jamaica in October 2015 and at TATIL’s Blast Off in Trinidad that same year. In 2018 in Los Angeles California Carlyle created history by becoming the first Trinidadian to speak on the Main Platform of MDRT’s Annual Meeting and conducted a 90-minute focus session. On 23/06/2025 history was again created when he conducted a one-hour focus session for managers and executives at the MDRT annual conference in Miami.

Carlyle is a Toastmaster and has earned the Competent Communicator and Competent Leader designations. He won the Caribbean District Humorous Speech Contest in 2010 and 2012 and is one of the industry’s most sought-after speakers and Sales trainers.

He has recently launched the Carlyle Fletcher Global Training Academy.
